Terms and Conditions Agreement — Taiwan Health & Cultural Immersion Experiences
Updated July, 2026
By registering for a Taiwan Health & Cultural Immersion Experience with Tricia Pomering, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms and Conditions. This agreement forms a binding contract between you (“the Participant”) and the Organizers.
1. General
This Taiwan Health & Cultural Immersion Experience is organized and hosted by Tricia Pomering (TP) and Dr. Anya de la Motte (DA).
Participation in all Taiwan Health & Cultural Immersion Experience activities is voluntary and undertaken at your own risk.
You are responsible for obtaining travel and medical insurance, which is strongly recommended.
Dietary requirements cannot be guaranteed.
No pets or non-participating guests are allowed on site.
Any valuables brought to the Taiwan Health & Cultural Immersion Experience are your responsibility.
Participants must comply with all Taiwanese entry requirements (e.g., free online Taiwan Arrival Card).
2. Registration
Your place is reserved only upon receipt of a 50% deposit or payment in full (which includes the deposit).
The deposit is non-refundable.
Registration is first come, first served, non-transferable, and resale of places is not permitted without the permission of the hosts (TP & DA).
3. Payment Plan
If only the deposit is paid at registration:
Second payment of $1,118 is due by: April Taiwan Health & Cultural Immersion Experience - December 15, 2026 (Single room = $1300)
Final payment of $1,118 is due by: April Taiwan Health & Cultural Immersion Experience - February 15, 2027 (Single room = $1300)
An invoice will be emailed to you at the email address you registered with. Failure to pay within 14 days of the due date will result in forfeiture of your place, with no refund of payments made.
4. Deposit
To reserve your spot, a non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit supports the time, care, and arrangements that begin as soon as you register. If unexpected circumstances arise and you’re unable to join us, the deposit is not refundable.
5. Travel Insurance
Because life can be unpredictable, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes trip-cancellation coverage. This helps protect your investment should anything come up that prevents you from traveling. For your convenience, we’ll share a link to insurance providers.
6. Cancellations
These experiences are thoughtfully planned well in advance, with many details arranged specifically for each participant. Once your spot is reserved, we commit to accommodations, meals, staffing, and experiences just for you. Because of this, we’re unable to offer refunds if you need to cancel. If you need to cancel your participation, any requests for reimbursement would be made directly through your travel insurance provider.
The Organizers cannot be held responsible for events beyond their control (e.g., war, natural disasters, terrorism, civil unrest, or personal emergencies).
If cancellation is required due to such events (other than a Taiwan national lockdown), no refunds or compensation will be provided for travel or personal expenses.
If a national lockdown occurs, you may choose to transfer to a rescheduled Curated Cultural Experience or receive a refund of Curated Cultural Experience fees paid, minus any credit card or payment processing fees, which are non-refundable, and a $200 administrative fee to cover planning time already invested.
No refunds will be given for illness (including COVID-19) or inability to travel. Please ensure your insurance covers these scenarios.
7. Organizer Responsibility
The Organizers are not licensed travel agents or tour operators. While we coordinate group logistics such as private vans, lodging, meals, and activities, all transportation, accommodations, and services are provided by independent third‑party vendors. The Organizers do not own, operate, or control these providers and are not responsible for their acts, omissions, or performance.
The Organizers are not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or delay caused by third‑party providers, including hotels, restaurants, transportation companies, or local guides.
Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements and meeting all visa and entry requirements for Taiwan.

Medical Services Acknowledgement and Release — Taiwan Health & Cultural Immersion Experiences
Updated July, 2026
Medical Services
As part of this Taiwan Health & Cultural Immersion Experience, participants have the opportunity to receive health screenings, diagnostic testing, and consultations through licensed healthcare providers and accredited medical facilities in Taiwan. These services are intended to provide information about your current health and to support informed conversations with your own healthcare providers.
Independent Healthcare Providers
All medical examinations, diagnostic tests, consultations, imaging, laboratory work, and other healthcare services are provided solely by independent licensed physicians, hospitals, laboratories, and healthcare professionals in Taiwan. Tricia Pomering (TP) and Dr. Anya de la Motte (DA) coordinate the overall experience and facilitate access to these services but do not own, operate, or control the medical facilities or providers.
No Medical Advice
The information shared by TP and DA before, during, or after the experience is educational in nature and is not intended to replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from your own physician or qualified healthcare provider. Any decisions regarding your health, treatment, medications, or follow-up care remain your responsibility.
Voluntary Participation
Participation in all medical screenings, diagnostic procedures, consultations, and wellness activities is entirely voluntary. You may decline any recommended test or procedure offered during the experience.
Risks of Medical Testing
You acknowledge that medical testing and diagnostic procedures involve inherent risks and limitations. These may include temporary discomfort, bruising, allergic reactions, incidental findings, false positive or false negative results, emotional distress, or the discovery of previously unknown medical conditions requiring additional evaluation or treatment. You voluntarily accept these risks.
No Guarantee of Results
The Organizers make no guarantees regarding the outcome, accuracy, completeness, or interpretation of any medical screening, diagnostic test, consultation, treatment recommendation, or health outcome. Medical screenings cannot detect every condition and should not be considered a substitute for ongoing medical care.
Follow-Up Care
If testing identifies a condition requiring additional evaluation or treatment, you are solely responsible for obtaining appropriate follow-up care after returning home or as otherwise recommended by your healthcare providers. The Organizers are not responsible for arranging or providing ongoing medical care.
Medical Records and Privacy
Medical records, laboratory results, imaging studies, and other health information are maintained by the healthcare providers performing the services and are subject to the applicable laws and privacy requirements of Taiwan. The Organizers will only receive or share your medical information with your knowledge and consent, except where required by law or in the event of a medical emergency.
Medical Emergencies
In the event of a medical emergency, you authorize the Organizers to assist in arranging emergency medical care on your behalf. You understand that the Organizers are not healthcare providers and are not responsible for the quality, availability, or outcome of emergency medical services. You accept full financial responsibility for any medical expenses incurred.
Translation and Communication
Medical consultations may involve interpretation or translation between English and Mandarin. While every reasonable effort will be made to facilitate clear communication, the Organizers cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of translated medical information and are not responsible for misunderstandings arising from language differences.
Fitness to Participate
By registering, you confirm that you are physically and mentally able to participate in international travel and the activities included in this experience. You agree to disclose any medical conditions, allergies, mobility limitations, dietary restrictions, or other circumstances that could reasonably affect your participation or safety.
Participant Acknowledgment
By registering for this Taiwan Health & Cultural Immersion Experience, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Medical Services section, have had the opportunity to ask questions, and voluntarily accept the risks associated with participating in the health screening and medical components of the experience.
