Our Taiwan Culture Retreats are all-inclusive and cover your hotels, food, retreat transportation, excursions, a fantastic foot massage, a fun goodie bag, and you’ll also have my personal attention — navigating, translating, and guiding you throughout the journey.
It does not cover airfare to and from TPE, shipping purchased items to your home, alcoholic drinks, room service, souvenirs and tips.

There is a lot of walking on this retreat and we’ll see SO MUCH! Expect 10,000+ steps each day.
The sidewalks and walkways in Taiwan are very uneven. We like to call it “Urban Hiking”. As a result, this trip is not wheelchair friendly.
It’s very difficult to cater to any strict dietary restrictions based on the availability in some of the smaller villages we will be visiting. We’re happy to chat about this further with you and possibly come up with some solutions.
We will be staying in accommodations many stories tall with some incredible views. Please let us know if using an elevator will pose challenges for you.

By registering for the Taiwan Culture Retreat (April 16 - 24, 2026) you confirm you have read, understand and accept the following Terms and Conditions:
General
This retreat is organized and hosted by Tricia Pomering(TP) and Beth Eckstein(BE)
Attendance at this retreat and involvement in any and all retreat activities are at your own risk. It is your responsibility to arrange travel insurance which is highly recommended.
Dietary requirements cannot be catered for on this retreat.
No pets are allowed on site.
Non-participating guests are not permitted on site.
Any valuables brought onto the site are your responsibility.
You will comply with any Taiwanese government-issued COVID guidelines.
Registration
Your place is only reserved on payment of a 50% deposit or payment in full (which includes the deposit) as advertised. This deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Bookings are on a first come first served basis.
Registration is non-transferable and resale of places is not permitted.
Payment Plan
If only the deposit is paid on registration, the second payment of $1360 is due by November 15, 2025, and the balance $1360 is payable by Febraury 15, 2026.
An invoice for the amount due will be issued by the Organizer to you to the email address used to register. Failure to pay the invoice for the balance in full within 14 days will result in you forfeiting your place. In such a case there will be no refunds on payments made up to that point.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation after our 20 minute chat: full refund less credit card fee.
Cancellation in writing before 11:59PM PST on January 14, 2026: 50% cancellation fee (this is the deposit).
Cancellation in writing at or after 12:00AM PST on January 15, 2026: 100% cancellation fee (includes the deposit)
The Organizers cannot be held liable for situations beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of war, acts of God, threats or acts of terrorism, civil unrest or unforeseen personal circumstances. In the case of cancellation by the organizers under such circumstances other than a government-enforced Taiwan national lockdown at the time of the retreat, no refunds will be payable and no compensation is payable for any individual travel arrangements you have made. In the case of Taiwan national lockdown coinciding with the dates of the retreat, you will be offered the choice to transfer to the rescheduled retreat or a full refund of your fees paid. No refunds will be given in case of you testing positive for COVID, or any other COVID-related circumstances preventing you from traveling to and attending the retreat. It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate insurance to cover this eventuality.
Liability waiver
You acknowledge that participation in the retreat carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries or property loss. You agree to waive, release, and discharge the Organizers, TP and BE from any and all liability for death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft or actions of any kind.
Other
In the case of emergency, natural disaster or cancellation by the venue for any reason, the Organizers reserve the right to change the venue without notice at any time.
The Organizers reserve the right to change the schedule and teaching staff without notice at any time.
Any disputes will be dealt with under the laws of Oregon
